More Costumes
When you receive mail saying a character will appear in a Dream Event, go to that event and, when you spot the character, press - (Minus). You will unlock the costume. Here are the costumes you can unlock:

  • Big Suit
  • Birdo Suit

Secret Shop
Beat Festival mode and a new shop will open in the shopping area called the Secret Shop. It is located in between the Music Shop and the Sports Shop. There you will find 2 lottery cards, a Clothing ticket and a Decal ticket. Also, after a while you will also be able to buy Gold, Platinum and Black Cards which allows you to buy things that weren't available before.
